AMOR GIVEN VILLARREAL ESCAPE ROUTE
VILLAREAL have made a bid to sign Fiorentina's Guillermo Amor - despite the Spanish international having a year left on his current contract with The Viola.
Guillermo, who has only played once in his nations successful qualification attempt for Euro 2000, has not managed to force his way into the starting line-up at the Florentine club and has played just eight times this season - mainly coming off the substitutes bench.
The Spaniard has had an injury hit season - and the arrival of new Turkish coach Fatih Terim may persuade Amor that he will have a new chance to put his mark on Serie A.
