ANDREI KANCHELSKIS looks likely turn down a move to Manchester City, after declaring his desire to remain at Ibrox.
Blues manager Joe Royle had targeted the 31-year-old to bolster his squad for their Premiership campaign, yet it now seems they will have to look elsewhere.
"I would like to stay, however it is up to the manager and the chairman," said Kanchelskis.
The former Manchester United star ended the season in style in Scotland, completing the double after winning the League title as well as picking up the Tennents Cup.
"I am having a great time at Rangers now. I have been playing regularly in the first team and I am playing better than before." added Kanchelskis.
