GAZZA NO-GO FOR FINLAND
FINNISH First Division side FC Jokerit have said they have been offered Middlesbrough midfielder Paul Gascoigne on a two-month loan.
However, the club have revealed that they turned down the offer because they could not afford the wages of the former England international.
"I was told he would probably like to have £28,000 a week, which is too much," said managing director Mecki Kahre. "Even for a month that is too much."
The Boro midfielder has been looking for a move abroad so that he can get himself fit for the start of the Premiership season.
