VEGA READY TO TALK TO OTHER CLUBS
The Swiss international stopper has seen young hope Alton Thelwell leap ahead of him in the pecking order for a place at the heart of George Graham`s defence, and he is willing to accept that his future is likely to be away from White Hart Lane.
After enduring criticism from some sections of the club`s support, and suffering from a number of injury problems, the 29-year-old has perhaps suffered from being associated with the dark days of the managerial reign of Christian Gross.
"What can I do?" asked the frustrated former Cagliari centre back. "Just be professional, keep going and fight for my place back.
"I`ve got six months to go and, from January, I can talk to other clubs, so it`s a good position to be in.
"We`ll see what happens. I`m thinking that I might have to move on and, with the way it is at the moment, I have to think like that.
"I will have to see what`s going on and look after myself in the future as well. If the club wants to talk to me, I will listen but I can always wait and see what offers come in.
"I`m unhappy that I`m not playing but that is natural and, if I come on, I will give everything," he told the official Spurs website.
"But I have to look after my future."
