DI ROCCO WANTS ABERDEEN EXIT

ABERDEEN loanee Alex di Rocco has revealed that he hopes to leave the club at the turn of the year, five months before the end of his spell at Pittodrie.

The 29-year-old is at the club for the season from Sedan, but his contract has a clause allowing him to return after January 3 2001 if the move is agreed, and he has now stated his unhappiness in Scotland's top flight.

"The level of the club is not good enough," said a frustrated di Rocco. "The challenge no longer interests me. In these conditions it's hard for me to show my qualities."

The Frenchman has been linked with Preston in recent weeks, and he may decide on a move to England if Sedan decide to loan him out again.
