BLANC: 'ARE INTER STILL A BIG CLUB?'

LAURENT BLANC has blasted his team-mates at Internazionale, saying that the quality of players at the club should bring success, but that they terminally underachieve.

The French veteran, who is still going strong at 35, has admitted that his spell at the Milan club has been disappointing as far as success, and that consistency in playing staff is vital.

"You have to ask if Inter are still a big team," Blanc stated. "That is the key question.

"Our results are not good and the players have got to show that they deserve to be part of a great team.

"When I arrived here I had other expectations. I wished to win and be a Serie A star, and of course I am disappointed.

"I was supposed to be in a team competing for the Scudetto and we are not. But I still believe that Inter has quality players.

"We should have more self-confidence and always believe that we can take all three points.

"I hope that we get over this bad period pretty soon. Our major problem seems to be a lack of concentration."
