POBORSKY REVEALS UNITED TORMENT
The Czech Republic international moved to the Stadio Olimpico from Benfica in February, and he feels that he has found happiness with the Serie A club.
Poborsky voiced his displeasure with life at Old Trafford, where he claims that he was continually overlooked for first-team selection by the club, resulting in him moving to Portugal in 1997.
Speaking on Sunday, Poborsky said: "I feel like I belong at Lazio and they respect me here. That was not the case in Manchester.
"It was impossible trying to compete with David Beckham at United.
"The worst moment came when one of the midfielders was injured but instead of picking me, they chose a 17-year-old from the B team."
Revealing his contentment with life in Rome, Poborsky commented: "Lazio is definitely the high point of my career.
"I told myself I would give it one last try at a major club. I want to win the Scudetto with Lazio.
"I have been at the biggest clubs in England, Portugal and Italy, and not many people have achieved that."
