MYHRE CLOSE TO DANISH SWITCH

The Everton keeper is expected to finalise details of the loan transfer this weekend, and he will solve a problem between the posts at the club from the Danish capital.

First choice Michael Stensgaard, formerly with Liverpool, is out injured, and the club have acted smartly to draft in a replacement.

Myhre has been linked with a number of moves recently, with his future at Goodison looking bleak. There are claims that Rosenborg are still owed some of the fee they were due to receive for the Norseman, and he seems unlikely to remain as part of Walter Smith`s plans.

"I want to keep my place in the national team," said the 27-year-old. "And then I need to play football.

"Now Copenhagen have appeared and it is a good alternative to play there for the rest of the season.

"Then we will see what happens this summer."
