COPENHAGEN MAY LOOK ELSEWHERE FOR KEEPER

CONTRARY to reports, FC Copenhagen have not signed Everton's Norwegian international goalkeeper Thomas Myhre and are still on the lookout for a new shot-stopper.

The Danish side only have the inexperienced 20-year-old Rune Pedersen available to play in goal, as regular first-choice Michael Stensgaard is injured.

"We only have a 20-year-old and he is the only goalkeeper with the required qualities," Copenhagen boss Roy Hodgson said.  "He is good, but he is young and inexperienced."

If a move for Myhre falls through, Hodgson may turn his attentions to SK Brann keeper Magnus Kihlstedt, who has recently been on trial with Premiership side Leicester.

He enjoyed a week's trial at Filbert Street, but admits he has not heard anything since from The Foxes, who are still reeling from their sensational FA Cup quarter final defeat to Second Division Wycombe Wanderers.
