POLLOCK GIVEN BLUES LOAN CHANCE

BIRMINGHAM CITY have completed the signing of Jamie Pollock on a month's loan from Crystal Palace, with an option to keep the midfielder until the end of the season.

Injury-hit Birmingham are desperate to keep up the chase for automatic promotion, and the arrival of Pollock will come as welcome news to manager Trevor Francis.

Pollock has fallen out of favour with Palace manager Alan Smith, and has been told that he should look for a new club.

The tough-tackling midfielder will be available for the weekend match against Stockport, and the former Middlesbrough and Bolton star will hope to slot straight into the side and earn himself a move away from his Eagles nightmare.
