GOODMAN TO BE WALSALL MYSTERY MAN

DON GOODMAN looks set to join Walsall after sources in Scotland confirmed that the Bescot club's mystery signing was the former Wolves star.

Walsall had stated that they would announce a signing at 10 o'clock on Thursday - the English transfer deadline day, and it now seems that Motherwell's Goodman will join the Second Division club.

34-year-old striker Goodman will be joining Walsall as they chase promotion in to the First Division, after being offloaded from the Motherwell wage-bill.

The club had been in talks with another striker, Colin Cramb, after overtures to veteran Steve Claridge had been rejected.
