NUNEZ'S SUNDERLAND CAREER OVER?

SUNDERLAND misfit Milton 'Tyson' Nunez has revealed that he has had his contract terminated at The Stadium of Light, while his agent Pablo Betancur has dismissed speculation linking his client with Manchester City.

The Honduran attacker has barely had a glimpse of first team action since joining Peter Reid's side last year and his unhappy stint in England looks to have drawn to a close.

Sunderland have still to confirm the news, but the player seems convinced that his days on Wearside are over.

"The fact that they did not take me into account was a decision by the coach and the directors," said a dejected Nunez.

"Thanks to God, I have an enviable spirit and that helps me."

Agent Betancur meanwhile dismissed any notion of Manchester City signing the former PAOK forward, who also had a trial with Aston Villa earlier this year.

"It is clear to look for other horizons," he stated.

Mexico or a return to his native Honduras could be the next destination on the cards for Nunez, who has stressed he will not be returning to England.
