SPENCER IS LOOKING SHEEPISH
SPENCER PRIOR could find himself in trouble with South Glamorgan Police after signing a three-year contract with Cardiff City.
The Manchester City defender completed the £650,000 move on Thursday morning, although he could face a custodial sentence if he actually adheres to conditions contained within the document.
The agreement states that not only must the former Derby man eat a sheep's testicles, he must also indulge in 'a physical liaison with a sheep'.
A Cardiff City spokesman explained: "Yes, it's absolutely true - Spencer's contract stipulates that he must have a physical liaison with a sheep.
"I don't know if he'll actually stick to it because his wife's quite a looker, but we'll have to wait and see!"
Chairman Sam Hammam reaffirmed the club's position, saying: "Spencer Prior has agreed - and so have the Professional Footballers Association.
"Work at the League headquarters stopped completely, they could not believe it. The staff went into a state of shock and disbelief.
"I wrote into Spencer Prior's contract, which he has agreed to, that he must have physical liaisons with sheep.
"He has also agreed to eat sheep's testicles, and cooked sheep's brain - he refused to eat it raw, but agrees to eat it cooked. Of course, he can have lemon, salt and parsley with it. He has also agreed to eat raw liver in its blood.
"He is learning about Welsh people and sheep."
An FA spokesman commented: "In all my time I have never seen anything like this."
In 1998, six men were found guilty of bestiality in England and Wales, with one convict being sentenced to a five-year prison term.
