NO SICK NOTE FOR SPURS AS ANDERTON COMMITS
The England midfielder's decision to stay with Spurs has coincided with the recent arrival of Glenn Hoddle, who struck up a good rapport with the player during his tenure as England coach.
Anderton, whose Spurs career has been blighted by a succession of injuries earning him the cruel nickname 'sicknote', was wanted by a host of Premier League sides, but the signings of Gus Poyet from Chelsea and the return of PFA Player of The Year Teddy Sheringham have convinced the 29-year-old of the manager's ambition to restore the fallen giants to their place amongst The Premiership elite.
The player flew out to Spain on Sunday as Tottenham prepare for the big kick-off against Aston Villa on August 18.
