BUCKLEY SIGNS BUCKLEY
The 21-year-old midfielder becomes The Red Imps` third capture of the season after deciding to leave The Mariners and sign a two-year deal at Sincil Bank.
Alan Buckley believes that the youngster will fit perfectly into his system, saying: "He will be a useful addition to the squad and will provide welcome competition to Peter Gain on the left. Any player from Grimsby will be familiar with the way I work and Adam is no exception.
"Adam had two years left at Grimsby but they've got their ideas and I've got mine."
Speaking to Lincoln`s official website, Buckley senior is confident that his son`s name will not be a problem at Sincil Bank: "He's had some problems in the past because of his surname but the way that Lincoln's supporters have taken to me I can't see it being an issue here.
"Supporters should treat him the same as they do all the other players and that is how he will be treated within the club."
Adam Buckley made only a handful of appearances for Grimsby, and did not figure at all last term.
