PAGLIUCA WANTS TO STAY AT BOLOGNA
Pagliuca returned to Bologna two seasons ago after successful spells at Internazionale and Sampdoria, but summer talk has linked the 34-year-old keeper with a move away from Renato Dall'Ara.
But, despite speculation of interest from Brescia and reigning Serie A champions Roma, who could both offer Pagliuca the prospect of European football next season, he is insistent that he hopes to remain with the Rossoblu.
"I have always hoped to stay here," said Pagliuca. "I have heard nothing about Roma and, although I have about heard of Brescia's interest, there have been no talks."
"I am happy at Bologna and content to play for the club of my home city."
The veteran shot-stopper left Bologna for Sampdoria in 1986 and, during a 13 year absence, collected a Scudetto at Sampdoria and a Uefa Cup winners medal with Inter, as well as playing for Italy during their 1994 World Cup final penalty shoot-out defeat at the hands of Brazil.
