FULHAM DUO SIGN NEW DEAL

FULHAM have confirmed that both Lee Clark and Maik Taylor have signed new four year contracts with the club.

There was a mass of speculation surrounding the future of Clark, with his former club Newcastle being strongly linked with a move, but the 28-year-old has now pledged his future to the West London club.

"I am happy to have reached an agreement that sees my future lie at Fulham," said Clark.

"We had fantastic success last season and I am pleased to be back in the Premiership again.

"I am enjoying my football and the manager has great ambitions for the team, so to extend my contract was the natural choice for me"

Northern Ireland international Taylor has also decided to stay at Craven Cottage, despite the arrival of Dutch legend Edwin van der Sar.

"I am delighted to have reached agreement on a new contract with Fulham," said Taylor.

"The club is a fantastic place to be at the moment.

"The manager, players and everyone involved at the club is very ambitious and I want to be part of that.

"Obviously I am disappointed not to be starting this season but it is down to me to knuckle down, work hard and force my way back into the squad."
