HUTCHISON: LEAVE MY WIFE ALONE

The Scottish international said las week that he was seriously thinking over his future with Sunderland and many in the media claimed that it was the player's wife that wanted to leave Wearside.

However, the former Liverpool man has denied this and wants his wife left out of the press.

"I just want to say that I'm fed up of my wife taking all the stick from the press about my situation with Sunderland," said Hutchison on his own website.

"If the club ever sell me it definitely won't be because of her.

"My football is my life and any decision I make about my future will be purely for footballing reasons."

It seems increasingly likely that West Ham could mount a bid to take him back to Upton Park, but reports are suggesting that Celtic and Charlton have been alerted to his unrest.
