INZAGHI EXPECTS STAM TO ANSWER FOR SLUR
The young Italian international, who featured in Lazio's opening game of the season - a 1-1 draw against Piacenza, was the victim of a nasty elbowing incident from Stam in the European Super Cup clash against Manchester United last year.
The defender writes in his autobiography: "In a freak accident my elbow split Inzaghi's nose wide open.
"He felt cheated and the threats started to pump thick and fast, but I would have felt more in danger from a Teletubby."
Inzaghi, who was informed about the comments only recently, admitted he would be seeking an explanation from his new team-mate, and for stating that brother Filippo is the player he 'dislikes most'.
"I will welcome him but at the same time I expect an explanation," said Inzaghi.
"His elbow in the game at Montecarlo is history but I need him to explain if he really wrote those things in his book.
"It's about respect, and Pippo and I are not divers. I hope to hear that what he wrote in the book has been changed by the editors.
"I expect Stam to explain all this to me."
