REDONDO RETURNS TO MADRID
The former Real Madrid star has had a number of operations on his knees and is still to make his official debut for Milan, despite being with the Italians for over a year.
Redondo's decision, according to Milan doctor Rodolfo Tavana: "Did not depend on the fact that the Milan infrastructure was inadequate, but by the necessity for peace for the player, since day after day he is being hammered by questions about his return.
"It is a psychological situation that is not advantageous either for us or the player.
Redondo is a hero in Madrid, where he spent several years and won two Champions League. However, having suffered an injury to his ligament has also had tendon problems, although his current malaise is due to pain in the bone that was used to reconstruct the ligament.
"Fernando will return when he is in a position to train with the team. I cannot give a particular time, but it must be respected until the day in which all is well." added Tavana.
