METTOMO COMPLETES CITY SWITCH
The Cameroon international has put pen-to-paper on a four-year agreement and the fee could rise by a further £500,000 depending upon appearances.
"He's 24, he's got two very good feet and he's got good pace," said City boss Kevin Keegan.
"He can play in a three or a straight back four and he can play a central midfield holding role as well.
"He's another one of these players whose not just got one position, you can move him around."
Mettomo's debut for his new club will be delayed, however, as the deal was not concluded in time for him to be considered for Saturday's clash with Wimbledon and he will spend next week in Germany with the Cameroon squad.
"Having talked to our physio we felt he would need a week to 10 days training before we threw him into any kind of game," Keegan added.
