THREE-MATCH BAN FOR MIDO

AHMED HOSSAM will miss an early chance to impress new Ajax coach Ronald Koeman, as he has been handed a three-match suspension by the KNVB.

The 18-year-old Egyptian, also known as Mido, was sent off the field by referee Herman van Dijk in Ajax`s recent game with Twente.

The talented striker kicked out at Twente defender Spira Grujic, and Ajax have decided not to appeal against the dismissal.

The club have other issues to attend to, with a meeting planned to clarify the futures of coaches Peter Boeve and Leo van Veen.

Following the arrival of Ronald Koeman and Ruud Krol, it would seem there is little room for the pair at the ArenA.

The club are aware of the problems and have organised a meeting.

"We will sit round the table on Wednesday," said director Arie van Eijden. "We have to look for a solution together."

Boeve was assistant to Co Adriaanse, while van Veen has been working as recovery trainer.
