BRADBURY FACES YEAR OUT
The former Manchester City and Crystal Palace suffered a cruciate knee ligament injury in last week's game against Millwall and he is not expected to be back until sometime next season.
Pompey's physio Gary Sadler admitted that the operation went well, but that the injury was worse than the one which Marck Burchill picked up earlier in the season.
"It is more serious than Mark's [Burchill], there is much more damage," said Sadler. "Nevertheless, the operation was a success and the surgeon is said to be "very happy" with proceedings.
Bradbury's injury is the latest in a long line to hit the club's forwards with Burchill, Luke Nightingale and Rory Allen suffering with long-term injuries this season.
The injury may force Pompey boss Graham Rix into the transfer market to add options to his forward line.
Meanwhile, The South Coast outfit have taken Austrian defender Andreas Lipa on trial, with a view to a permanent move.
The 30-year-old will spend a few days training with the club and they are hoping to get clearance so that he can play for the reserves against Luton as Rix wants to have a closer look at the GAK ace before deciding whether or not to offer him a deal.
