Ouaddou explains African exit
It had been suggested the Fulham defender had been involved in an incident with a team-mate at his country's training camp.
The 23-year-old is also happy to remain at Craven Cottage, despite failing to earn a regular place in the side, if he is guaranteed a future at the club by Jean Tigana in the summer.
"It is me who left," he stated. "I did it to avoid a bad atmosphere that exists in the team, which could damage the results in the African Cup of Nations.
"For a long time, divisions have existed in the squad between the French Moroccan players and those from the country. We are called 'emigrated'.
"It is not the first time some incidents occur.
"I cannot remain with people who are so impolite.
"There was no fight. Simply I know, if I had stayed, things would have degenerated."
As regards his future at club level, Ouaddou is happy to bide his time in West London.
"It is a little bit hard to endure," he said, with regard to his lack of first team action.
"But it does not prevent me from training normally. I am in the squad but I do not play.
"It is like that, the coach chooses and I respect him.
"Everything depends on discussions with the coach, and on his plans for next season. Jean Tigana has a clear speech and is always ready to give maximum help to the players."
