Injury problems for Norway
Coach Nils Johan Semb had no problems last week, but Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, Ronny Johnsen, Christer Basma, Roar Strand and Eirik Bakke picked up injuries on Saturday and John Arne Riise added to the woes after damaging his foot during Liverpool`s win over Chelsea on Sunday.
Spurs striker Steffen Iversen will also miss the trip after injuring his foot against Fulham.
Ajax defender Andre Bergdolmo (pictured) will also not travel after limping out of Sunday`s draw with PSV Eindhoven, and Semb has called up new faces as a consequence.
Viking defenders Bjorn Dahl and Thomas Pereira and young midfielder Brede Hangeland have been told to prepare themselves for the trip to Africa.
"This was fun and not the way I had expected to spend my Easter vacation. Of course I hope to get some minutes when I'm in the squad," said Bjorn Dahl to Stavanger Aftenblad.
Revealing his problems, Semb said: "Andre Bergdolmo called me from the Ajax dressing room. He got a knock on his thigh against PSV, and it will take a while before he is ready."
On Spurs ace Iversen, he added: "I talked with Steffen Iversen and the Tottenham doctor just after their game. They don't think his foot is broken, but it was very swollen and they will check it out on Monday."
