Reds line up Cheyrou's brother
Reds boss Gerard Houllier is believed to have watched the elder Cheyrou (pictured) in action for Lille against Paris Saint Germain at the weekend.
The Frenchman is reportedly close to wrapping up a £4 milllion swoop for Bruno, who has enjoyed an excellent season in Le Championnat.
The 23-year-old has scored 11 goals and as well as slotting into the left-hand side of midfield, he can also operate as a striker.
But in addition to Bruno, Houllier has also been impressed by his younger sibling Benoit, who is a defensive midfielder.
The 21-year-old could be ready to follow his brother to Anfield and make it a family affair on Merseyside if Houllier pursues his interest in the Cheyrou pair.
With Lille coach Vahid Halilhodzic leaving the club in the summer, several key players are also expected to depart.
Other candidates to be part of the exodus are Johnny Ecker, Pascal Cygan, Fernando D'Amico and Dagui Bakari and it seems likely to be a busy summer on the transfer front for the Northern French club.
