Hammers confirm departures
WEST HAM UNITED have confirmed their retained list and have released seven members of their first team squad.
Shaka Hislop, Craig Forrest, Paul Kitson, Steve Potts, Omer Riza, Sven Andersson and Michael Ferrante have all been released after their respective contracts expired.
"We are probably one of the last clubs this year to let it be known who is being retained and who isn't," said manager Glenn Roeder.
"There have been some difficult decisions to be made but every single player that is leaving goes with my good wishes and thanks for the service they have given to the club."
The other players who were out of contact, but have been offered new terms are Izzie Iriekpen, Nigel Winterburn and John Moncur.
