Maurice looking to move on
FLORIAN MAURICE has stated his desire to move on from Championnat side Marseille, despite returning to the Stade Velodrome after a loan spell at Spanish side Celta Vigo.
Maurice started just 11 matches for the Galician club - scoring two goals - and was hampered by niggling injuries and the form of fellow Celta striker Catanha.
His two seasons at Marseille have been just as frustrating for Maurice, suffering a lack of form and being plagued with more injuries since his move from Paris Saint Germain.
After being informed that he would not be offered a deal by the Spanish outfit, Maurice told AFP: "I'll be speaking to Marseille's management but I'd like to go elsewhere.
"As I only have a year left on my contract, another loan is out of the question.
"They can either sell me or make me a proposition."
However, Maurice's chances of making a permanent move to Celta were put to rest after speaking with a club official.
Maurice added: "I'm packing my bags. I spoke to the technical director and he told me he had no news for me, so as far as I can see I don't belong to them any more, the loan is over."
