Ahn rejects Perugia offer
Ahn has seen his character assassinated in the media, and rather than support their mercurial star, Perugia president Luciano Gaucci chose to add his voice to those of the critics.
An unbelievable turn-around saw the club offer the player an extended deal, despite earlier insisting the player would 'never step foot in the club again.'
However, somewhat inevitably it seems the player has turned down the offer, although the club has yet to learn this directly from Ahn himself.
"Ahn has flatly denied Perugia's offer to join them," reads a statement from representatives ePlayers.
"He said he will no longer discuss his transfer to Perugia, who attacked his character instead of congratulating him for his goal against Italy."
However, Perugia spokesman Paolo Giovagnoni insists that the club are still in pole position to retain Ahn's services.
"We don't believe this news," said Giovagnoni. "There is a contract signed by three parties - Perugia, Busan and Ahn that takes effect on June 30.
"We'll wait to hear directly from Ahn, who I hope is currently enjoying a vacation."
There is no shortage of interest in the World Cup star, with Scottish giants Rangers linked as well as the confirmation of English interest.
