Gullit: Beckham's one of the best

FORMER Holland legend Ruud Gullit has named England captain David Beckham as one of the world's best players and feels the Manchester United ace is best suited to playing as a right-winger and not in the centre of midfield.

The 1987 European Footballer of the Year is a big fan of Beckham and would certainly include him in his world XI.

However, Gullit believes the England skipper's abilities are best suited on the right side of midfield where he can supply crosses from that wing as opposed to orchestrating attacks playing in a central position.

The former Feyenoord, Milan, Sampdoria, and Chelsea midfielder is at the finals in the Far East as the guest of one of the competition's sponsors and said: "I think Beckham is great. He would be in my world XI.

"But he is a right winger, not a central midfielder.

"What he can do best is get crosses in. He has the abilities no one else has and these players don't come around often."
