Hoult agrees new Baggies deal
The Premiership new-boys are delighted Hoult has agreed the deal, after missing out on signing Hermann Hreidarsson, who opted to stay with Ipswich Town.
The 29-year-old former Derby County shot-stopper kept a club record 27 clean sheets in the First Division last season, and will need to continue his excellent form if the side are to defy the odds and avoid a quick return to the Nationwide League.
Hoult had two seasons remaining on his existing contract, but has now tied himself down to the club until the end of the 2006 season, citing his enjoyment playing for the club as the reason behind his commitment to The Baggies.
"The last 18 months have probably been the most enjoyable of my career," said Hoult to the club's official website.
"Talks began with the club at the end of the season and it's nice everything has been sorted out before the big kick-off on Saturday.
"I feel very settled at the club - I feel at home here," concluded Hoult.
