Hofland blow for PSV

PSV EINDHOVEN star Kevin Hofland has torn ankle ligaments and could be out for action for a couple of months.

The 23-year-old is rated as one of Europe's brightest young talents and news of his injury will be a major blow to PSV.

Hospital scans showed that Hofland has torn the inner ligament on his right ankle, the player will begin his rehabilitation next week and PSV's medical staff are hoping to guide him through a quick recovery.

Hofland sustained the injury during PSV's 4-0 defeat by Arsenal and was forced to stay in the dressing room at half time.

Meanwhile, PSV's Australian midfielder Lindsay Wilson has broken his foot and will be out for around four weeks.
