Happy Billio looking for new Dons deal
The talented Italian midfielder signed a deal that runs until January in the summer, claiming he did not know how he would settle in following his acrimonious split from Dundee.
The 28-year-old, though, says he has been made to feel welcome and that he and his wife are happy in Aberdeen.
He said: "It was my idea to just sign on until the start of the New Year.
"Aberdeen had offered me a deal until the end of the season but, after what happened at Dundee, I wasn't sure if my wife and I would be able to stay in Scotland again.
"I have no worries about that now. She is in Aberdeen with me and we love the city and the people. The manager and players at the club have also helped to make me very happy again.
"It's great to feel wanted once more and to be enjoying my football again - my life couldn't be much better.
"I know already that Aberdeen is the place for me. My wife and I have spoken things over and agreed if the club wish to offer me something I should stay at Pittodrie."
Billio will face a test of character at the weekend, when he lines up against Dundee, but he is looking forward to the contest.
Speaking to the Daily Record, he added: "I could say it is just another game and just another three points but that wouldn't be true. It would mean a lot to me if Aberdeen could win.
"The chance to play against Dundee is one of the reasons why I came back to Scotland with Aberdeen.
"They didn't treat me well at the end and I would love to do something to make them regret that."
