Bosnich cocaine shocker
The former Manchester United star has been out in the cold at Stamford Bridge recently, and the news, if confirmed, will devastate his career.
After failing to dislodge Carlo Cudicini from the number one slot at the club, a recent injury to Ed de Goey should have enabled the highly-paid Australian to return to the fold.
However, untried rookie Lenny Pidgley has instead been on the bench for the Londoners, who have made a splendid start to the league season.
Bosnich, 30, is a high-earner with The Blues but has failed to shine since arriving from Old Trafford in January, 2001, on a free transfer.
Always a colourful, confident character, the talented keeper has often carried the suspicion that his enjoyment of his lifestyle off-the-field has perhaps ensured his career has not reached the dizzy heights it should have done. Indeed, some experts believe he is technically among the best goalkeepers in the world.
The tall shot-stopper has dated some celebrity females, most recently Dani Behr, and Roy Keane recently revealed in his autobiography that, though he viewed 'Boz' as rather undedicated, he did like his persona away from football, because he was 'one of the lads'.
Yet it seems as though Bosnich has overdone his off-the-field indulgences by dabbling with the Class A drug, and now faces a lengthy suspension, and possibly the sack from Chelsea.
There has, as of yet, been no comment from The Football Association, although Chelsea released a statement on Sunday morning.
The statement read: ǣWe cannot comment on the allegation of drug violations made against one of our players.
"Any testing undertaken is in accordance with the doping regulations laid down by the football authorities remains a private matter between the club, the player and the football authorities.Ç¥
