Che say no go over Pablo
Recent rumours have once again suggested that the gifted 23-year-old playmaker could be on his way from the Mestalla stadium, with Italian giants Juventus the latest club to be linked with the former River Plate man.
However, the Spanish champions have moved to quash the latest transfer whispers insisting that Aimar is not for sale at any price.
"Pablo Aimar will not leave Valencia, he is not moving from here," said club spokesman Manuel Llorente, who went on to blame Aimar's agent for the endless speculation that seems to follow the player.
"There is not enough money to buy him. His representative is always doing these things but we are used to it now.
"I too was surprised by the news, but for us it has no importance under any circumstance because his agent has done it before.
"When a player does not want to leave and a club does not want to sell him then nobody goes anywhere.
"Pablo Aimar has shown on the pitch with his behaviour and his play that he is very happy in Valencia, and does not want to leave here."
It does though seem that Juventus' interest in Aimar was concrete as reports in Spain suggest that various members of the Valencia board did discuss Aimar's release clause with the Turin club.
That clause stands at some é¼90 million (£58 million), and the Italians were said to be told in no uncertain terms that the full price would have to be paid before any thought would be given to selling the Argentine star.
