Saints confirm Arias arrival
We brought you the news on Monday of Arias's arrival at St Mary's and now the club have confirmed that the deal has been done.
Saints boss Gordon Strachan paid tribute to their scout Terry Cooper for spotting the former Velez Sarsfield star.
"Terry Cooper has watched him a few times and thinks he can help our squad," said Strachan.
"He can play on either flank which will give us good balance.
"He looks a useful player and is very quick and hopefully he will make us stronger."
Saints chairman Rupert Lowe added: "Terry says he is the only player in Argentina worth taking and he has been very impressed by him.
"He has blinding pace and good skill and we have structured the deal in a good way."
Eric Manasse and Barry McIntosh of Logosport negotiated the deal and the former is confident of his client's abilities.
"We are very excited by the deal," Manasse told planetfootball.
"We think he will be a huge success and are confident he can do well over here.
"He has a lot of flair and can show how good he is."
