Henry's heart at Highbury
The French international, who notched up his 100th goal for Arsenal in Sunday's win at Birmingham, insists his heart is at Highbury and would only leave if he was sacked by the club.
The former Monaco and Juventus ace is currently in talks about extending his deal and he sees no problems in the negotiations.
"Here I am under contract with my heart," Henry revealed. "If ever I have to leave Arsenal, it will be because Arsenal will have sacked me."
Henry admitted he wants to become a goalscoring legend at Arsenal like former Gunners hero Ian Wright even though he still does not regard himself as a striker.
"Ian Wright was a great guy and did so much for Arsenal," he told L'Equipe. "I just want to do as well for the club as he did.
"I don't want to compete with him or beat his achievements - although if that happens, it happens, and I would be very happy.
"But no I am not a striker and I have always stated that. Strikers are men like Jean-Pierre Papin, Bernard Lacombe in the past, or Michael Owen and David Trezeguet today.
"I don't only think to score, I think to score and that is a slight difference.
"A true striker only thinks about that, even if his team loses."
