Bielefeld snap up Heinz

ARMENIA BIELEFELD have swooped to sign Marek Heinz on loan until the end of the season.

The Hamburg striker will play for Bielefeld for the remainder of the campaign after becoming disillusioned with life at the AOL Arena.

Heinz has fallen down the pecking order - behind the likes of Bernardo Romeo, Sergei Barbarez and new signing Naohiro Takahara.

The Czech international is expected to make his move to Bielefeld permanent if they avoid relegation at the end of the season.

Meanwhile, Hamburg are negotiating new terms for an extension of Lebanese mifielder Roda Antar's current contract.

Should the talented 22-year-old stay at the club, the Rothosen would have to pay another £1 million to former club Tadamon Sur Club.

"Roda has great potential and is likely to continue improving, but we are certainly not keen on splashing out this kind of money," explained coach Kurt Jara.

The club will attempt to negotiate new terms with Tadamon before the player's lease expires at the end of the season.
