Aghahowa issues come-and-get-me plea

JULIUS AGHAHOWA has issued a come-and-get-me plea to top European clubs, expressing his desire to leave Shakhtar Donetsk.

The Nigerian World Cup star was on the cusp of joining Bolton in December, only for his Ukrainian club to pull the plug on the deal.

But the pacey forward is now desperate to leave Eastern Europe, and insists his club have also snubbed enquiries from the likes of Arsenal and Juventus.

"I don't think it's fair," said Aghahowa. "In the last year they have refused to listen to any offer from a number of European clubs.

"Among them, I have heard, were Arsenal and Juventus.

"Shakhtar is a great club with good players, but the time has come to move on and the board have shown little respect for my interests or ambitions.

"They failed to agree my transfer to Bolton Wanderers at the end of December.

"It seems to be the final straw for me."
