Gers complete Bonnissel deal
The French full-back has joined The Gers until the end of the season with an option to extend his contract for a further two years.
The 29-year-old impressed Gers boss Alex McLeish during the club's training camp in Dubai.
McLeish had targeted a new left-sided defender as his top priority in the transfer window and he has handed landed his man.
"We have a shortage of left-sided players in defence and Bonnissel showed that he can take part,' said McLeish.
"Rangers see a lot of the ball during games and we're looking for players who can use it well. He (Bonnissel) came into that category and we look for our fullbacks to go running with the ball. "I'm delighted that we have secured a deal with Jerome."
Bonnissel was delighted to have sealed his move to Glasgow and has his eyes on a place in next season's Champions League.
"There have been offers in the pipeline but I believe Rangers are one of the biggest clubs in Europe and I'd love to be with them in the Champions League," said Bonnissel. "When you look at the quality of players within this squad there is no reason why we shouldn't have a real go at making a mark in Europe.
"I know I have to prove myself all over again here at Rangers but that's a challenge I am ready for."
