Bahoken shock at Larsson injury
The 23-year-old Bahoken maintained his innocence in the whole affair but explained his sadness at seeing Larsson sidelined with such an injury.
"I saw a Celtic player cross the ball and I got in front of Larsson to try to head it away," the Cameroon stopper told the Daily Record.
"When the ball was in the air he climbed a bit higher than me and his jaw banged into the back of my head and it hurt me too.
"I even ducked my head so I would not do any harm.
"When I saw the newspapers today I was so upset that such a thing had happened to a fellow professional. As soon as I can I will try to see Larsson to make my proper apologies.
"After what happened I immediately said sorry but no one realised how bad it was then.
"I could not imagine how such a normal challenge as that could cause such a bad injury."
Bahoken was an admirer of the Swede and was keen to swap shirts with the former Feyenoord man before he was carried off with just 13 minutes gone.
"I've always admired Larsson. I have known about him since he played for Sweden in the World Cup against Cameroon in 1994," added the Livi defender
"I was counting on getting his shirt after one of my friends asked if I could do this for him.
"I would never go on to a pitch and deliberately try to hurt a player. It was a complete accident. I was trying to clear the ball, not injure Larsson."
Meanwhile, West Ham's Scottish international Christian Dailly has warned Larsson that his injury could last as long as three months.
Dailly broke his jaw in three places back in 1997, when at Derby County, and explained how difficult it is to overcome mentally.
"The jaw still troubled me for two or three months after that," revealed Dailly.
"I was wondering subconsciously, when I went up to head the ball and go in for tackles.
"I don't know how badly fractured Henrik's jaw is, but he has my sympathy and I wish him well."
