Grays go for Atangana
MVONDO ATANGANA has been told he will not be handed a long-term deal by Colchester, and has opted to try his luck with Grays Athletic.
The Cameroon striker has been on non-contract terms with the U`s since the end of last year, but has been told he does not have a future at Layer Road.
Grays have stepped in and offered him the chance to win a contract.
U`s boss Phil Parkinson told the club`s website: "Simon has been told that there will be no long-term deal for him."
Atangana did his chances with the Ryman League side no harm, as he scored the only goal in their 1-0 win over Chesham.
