Diouf charged with spitting
LIVERPOOL striker El Hadji Diouf has been charged with spitting on a Celtic fan during the two club's Uefa Cup tie back in March.
Pictures appearing to show Diouf spitting at a fan during the game surfaced, and the Senaglese forward has been charged.
Glasgow Sheriff Court heard that the Liverpool man had spat at a fan, although the player was excused from attending the hearing.
Diouf has already apologised for his part in the incident, but faces the serious charge of assault for his alleged actions.
Diouf was fined by his club and banned by Uefa in the aftermath of the incident.
