Valencia agree Lopez deal

The deal to bring the Argentine ace back to La Mestalla has been in the pipeline for months and the finishing details to the move have been finally ironed out.

Valencia have reached agreement with Lazio and a fee of around ‚é¼6 million (£4 million) has been agreed for the 28-year-old with just money that Lopez claims he is owed by Lazio to be resolved.

The sum will be taken off the outstanding debt that the Italian side still owe Valencia from the transfer of Gaizka Mendieta.

The Argentine international has given his verbal agreement to return to Spain and he is expected to put pen-to-paper on a new deal in the next few days.

Lopez is a big hero at Valencia after his first spell at the club in which he helped them reach the final of the Champions League in 2000.
