Who has been Norwich's best manager? Sky Sports is launching a vote to find out.
With cup-winning campaigns, promotions seasons and victories over Bayern Munich in their past, Norwich City have enjoyed some famous days. Managers have been integral figures in that history but who has been the best? Sky Sports has narrowed it down to four candidates - Ken Brown, Paul Lambert, Mike Walker and Willie Reid - and now we want your opinion. Have your say at the bottom of this article and vote in our poll to establish the greatest manager in Norwich's history. We will then announce the winner in the week commencing 12th August.
Ken Brown (1980-1987)
Brown led the Canaries for seven years in the 1980s, achieving a fifth-place finish in their first season back in Division One after earning promotion the previous year. Having suffered relegation battles on a regular basis, Brown's time in charge was something of a relief as Norwich generally avoided the drop with ease. A run of disappointing results resulted in Brown's sacking in November 1987.
Paul Lambert (2009-2012)
The former Celtic midfielder arrived in Norfolk just a matter of days after having enjoyed a 7-1 victory at Carrow Road with his Colchester side. Lambert arrested the decline and won back-to-back promotions to take Norwich into the Premier League. He remained at the club, leading them to a highly respectable mid-table finish before leaving for Aston Villa.
Mike Walker (1992-1994 & 1996-1998)
After being promoted from the position of youth team manager, Walker was appointed Norwich boss in 1992 and led the side to their highest league finish in history of third place. That allowed them to play in the UEFA Cup the following season, their first time in European competition, and secured a famous victory over Bayern Munich in the second round before losing to eventual winners Inter Milan in the next stage. The Welshman left the club for Everton in 1994 after a long running feud with chairman Robert Chase over the sale of key players. Walker returned for a second less successful spell in 1996.
Willie Reid (1961-1962)
Despite managing the club for just six months, Reid led the Canaries to victory in the 1962 League Cup, beating Rochdale 4-0 over two legs. It was the first major trophy the club had won and ensured his place in the history books.
