Kees cut down
FEYENOORD will have to do without the services of veteran defender Kees van Wonderen during the early weeks of the season.
The 34-year-old has been advised to avoid any ball work for at least three weeks due to a troublesome knee complaint.
De Kuip doctor, Robbart van Linschoten has told van Wonderen to only take part in light training sessions, and he is most unlikely to make the season opener with NEC Nijmegen on August 17.
Van Wonderen, who signed a new one-season deal earlier in the year, made 29 appearances last term and will have a key role to play under Bert van Marwijk in the next campaign, injury permitting.
