Samp snap up Antonioli
SERIE A new boys Sampdoria have snapped up veteran goalkeeper Francesco Antonioli on a free transfer from Roma as they continue their summer spending spree.
Antonioli has been searching for new employers after seeing out his contract with the Giallorossi.
The former Milan shot-stopper has signed a two-year deal at Sampdoria.
Samp general director Beppe Marotta was delighted to have landed the experienced custodian.
"I'm happy with this arrival because with him, many years ago, I won a Serie C championship."
Sampdoria also unveiled the signing of new Japanese import Atsushi Yanagisawa, with the striker admitting it was a dream to be playing in Serie A.
"I have realised a dream. I had the will for a new challenge and now I am ready to face it," said Yanagisawa.
"I know it will be hard in Italy, but I think I will be able to show my skill."
