Lucarelli to rejoin Livorno

TORINO'S Cristiano Lucarelli has confirmed he will spend next season on loan to Livorno.

The deal was almost scuppered by the players wage demands, but the striker, who endured a miserable time in Turin as the club were relegated from Serie A last term, has now decided to take a 50 per cent pay cut to rejoin his old team.

"I crown the dream of a life," said Lucarelli. "The economic sacrifice is nothing in comparison to the satisfaction I have."

In other news, Torino owner Francesco Cimminelli once again confirmed his intention to sell the club.

"Before buying Torino I felt good," said the supremo. "Now I wait for someone to make me the right offer to buy Torino.

"I'm not interested in people who just want to have a shop window.

"I want serious people, that will present to me economic guarantees and serious plans."
