Zamora 'overjoyed' at Spurs move
The 22-year-old signed a three-year deal with Spurs, after a £1.5 million fee was agreed between Spurs and Brighton.
Zamora was unveiled at a press conference on Friday, and was understandably delighted.
"I am overjoyed, it has been a long time coming and I really wanted to sign for Tottenham," said Zamora.
"I am just delighted to put pen-to-paper. I have to work hard and learn and hopefully get a few games.
"It is going to be a challenge, I am going to learn, especially playing with the calibre of players here.
"The Premiership is the elite and I except every aspect of the game to be harder.
"I look at the van Nistelrooys and Henrys and they are top draw - you can look at them and learn, everyone can improve and I am looking to do that.
"It is an exciting time for me."
Spurs boss Glenn Hoddle welcomed the move, saying: "We are delighted to have him, he has signed a three-year contract with a one-year option.
"We are delighted as he is a young player with fantastic potential and we have monitored him closely over the last few seasons.
"He will give us a little bit of everything, we feel we have got three good young strikers with Helder Postiga being brought in and everyone forgets how young Robbie Keane still is.
"It is not to say we will not strengthen the squad further.
"We are still looking in the market, whether it will be purchases or not."
The Spurs boss has been chasing Zamora for two years and he joked that he would miss watching him play.
"I am going to miss the drive down to Brighton, I think I am going to have to look at someone else there!" he quipped.
"If a Premiership manager goes to a ground, people put two and two together, but you have to watch them.
"He has improved over the last year, and he is a proven goalscorer outside The Premiership.
"Bobby can play, he has played up-front on his own and has many strings to his bow."
