Irwin reveals retirement date
WOLVES defender Denis Irwin has revealed he will definitely hang up his boots at the end of this season.
The 37-year-old had considered retiring this summer after helping Wolves into The Premiership, but decided to stay on at Molineux.
The former Oldham and Manchester United ace will now have his swansong in The Premiership before ending his illustrious career next summer.
"Yes that's me finished (next year)," said Irwin.
"I haven't looked beyond the end of this season."
Irwin was almost an ever-present for Wolves last season but could face competition for his place this year after the signing of Oleg Luzhny.
